Our daughter has participated in Odyssey of the Mind for years and has proudly collected t-shirts from each competition. This year four of our kids are participating and I am coaching so I am planning on buying shirts for the whole family. The “elemental” design is clever, fitting with the science part of Odyssey, and allows room for numerous one-word descriptions of what OTM is all about; the shirt is a great conversation-starter for kids and parents who want to tell others about OTM and invite them to join.

Thank you for all your hard work on a great t-shirt this year. My daughter wears her t-shirts constantly and we have happy memories every time we see them. I am looking forward to seeing the 2010 t-shirt on all of my kids.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

However, anybody who has been involved in OM or has been to a Halloween parade, has seen kids cross dressing (e.g., the number of female Heracles last year). It's more in the tradition of Milton Berle than Ru Paul.

This t-shirt was designed by kids. The items were all thought up by kids. And now the adults get to come in and tell them what they can or cannot say; that they should be ashamed of something they think is just funny.

It makes me kinda sad.
